The importance of eco-design in the world of outdoor furniture.
First of all, it is important to understand what is eco-design?
Eco-design consists in integrating the notion of environmental protection from the design of a company's goods or services. The aim of this concept is to reduce the ecological impact of a product during its life cycle. That is to say, from the manufacturing stage, taking into account the materials used, to the recycling of the product.
Discover in this article, the importance of eco-design in the world of outdoor furniture.
Many people decide to invest in outdoor furniture when the sun returns. However, it is not always easy to find eco-responsible furniture for your exterior.
Aurehum pays particular attention to the design of its outdoor furniture, which is intended to be environmentally friendly.
But it also pays attention to how they are recycled at the end of their life.
That is why our products are made exclusively from aluminium profiles. It is a renewable and 100% recyclable material. This is a significant element at a time when we are at the heart of a generation that is extremely concerned about the environment and has a strong trend towards green business.
We assemble our aluminium profiles by screwing. The shape of the profile gives it an elasticity that ensures an anti loosening effect of the screw. It also allows the assembly and disassembly of a structure to facilitate transport but also to change a part when it is damaged.
The Dekton® top, used for our tables, is glued to the aluminium frame. Thanks to a process that we apply, we are able to take it off and therefore change it.
Dekton is a 100% mineral material. If you have a strong ecological appeal, then you should opt for the TRILIUM finish, which is made only from recycled Dekton®. It is the most ecological model of the range.
At Aurehum, product design is rigorously studied,
in order to recycle them at the end of their life. All our mechanical components are also assembled by screwing. No parts are welded during the production of our products. Thus, each material such as stainless steel, aluminium and steel can be recycled separately.
For the recycling of materials, Aurehum calls on a company specialising in the recycling of waste and materials (Guyonnet récupération, a local company). All our parts are therefore sorted (according to materials) and recycled, in order to give them a second life. As far as Dekton® is concerned, we reuse as much of our off-cuts as possible in the manufacture of our products.
Our tables are therefore completely dismountable and recyclable.
This reinforces the notion of eco-design, to which Aurehum pays particular attention, in addition to manufacturing made in France.
We have designed our tables to use electrically operated devices. From an ecological point of view, even if electricity is not entirely environmentally friendly, we have favoured this energy over gas and charcoal, which are more harmful to health.
Finally, make sure you find out how the products you are about to buy are made. Whether it's for the design of your home, but also for the products you use in everyday life.
Indeed, they may be more expensive at first glance, but isn't the price justified when you know how the products are made, what materials are used and how they will be recycled?
